In my opinion, I would say the chances are slim because you're doing a job they could hire any tom, dick or harry to do. One of the requirements of sponsorship in emigration situations to most first world countries is that the employer needs to prove that you're the best person for the job and that finding another candidate locally is not feasible.

I'm happy to hear arguments and experience against, but while your boss may be trying to help you out, I'm really not sure how far he's going to get. (Unless they make you management?)

I would say slim Moboo , find a no stay no fee lawyer and see what they say.

    Mobooo

The amount of red tape and hooks an employer has to go through to sponser someone I think as Minesajackdaniels said your chances are slim to none .

They have to prove that you are the only one that can do the job and no one else in Oz can .

They have to put ads in the paper etc so i wouldn't hold my breath .

low wage job = very slim
there is a minimum wage for 457, so if you are just flipping burgers then this could be an issue
however if you can get an assistant manager or the likes (rather than a job anyone can do) then your chances are increased ... but good luck either way

Even at that. McD manager role isn't high on the skill shortage list.

Can't see it getting approved. Now if you worked in the McD head office or something, then it would be a different story.
