Thinking of moving from Cardiff Uni to Maynooth in September and just wondering how people find rent and the cost of living in general?

    My rent:
    1st year - €400 a month
    2nd year - €367 a month
    3rd year - €350 a month

Lets hope next year it goes down again :D

I know a guy living in Moyglare Meadows playing €250 a month but I also know another guy living in Beaufield paying €415 a month but the house is top notch.

    Beer ≈ 4€
    Cider >5€
    Double vodka and white ≈ 9€ :D

I would probably spend about €40+ a week on food.

You should be looking for rents for about €60-€75/week for next year....

The property market really has changed that much!

    WOW

It was actually a lot less than i first thought!!! :O

    http://www.daft.ie/searchsharing.daft?s%5Bcc_id%5D=c3&s%5Ba_id%5D=2818&s%5Bmnp%5D=&s%5Bmxp%5D=&s%5Broom_type%5D=single&refine=Refine&search=1&s%5Bsearch_type%5D=sharing&s%5Bfurn%5D=&s%5Brefreshmap%5D=1&search_type=sharing

    single rooms from €50/week

    What a shocker eh?

Also i might just note not to take out a year lease....
Some girls i'm living with this year just took out a years lease on a property for €80/week not including bills!!!

So what i'm saying is I suppose to be careful not to be a complete idiot.... :p

Depends on what state the house in too though. 80 a week is still quite high.

More than likely moving to Maynooth next year. So I was thinking that one of my stalkers, or all of them, can put me up for free. I can cook plus I have an excellent DVD collection

A lot of your stalkers don't actually live in Maynooth unfortunately.
