I've driven another Fiat with the same 'box; assuming its the duallogic sequential unit. Its a very strange experience in the 'semi automatic' mode; does stuff like downshifting to first as you brake to a stop for lights and back up to the same gear you were in as you go off.

I rented few times Fiat linea auto(sedan punto) while abroad. Kinda liked it. It was six speed diesel 1.3 triptronic or what ever they call it. Very responsive and very very good on juice. There is not much of a choice in automatic cars market in Ireland especially for small cars. I think you have a good catch there. With a good haggle you can knock few yoyos of the price.

I had a Speedgear for two years or so in 2004, and it was a hoot to drive in the city, using the sequential was fun..
I put about 30K miles on it and had no issues..good enough on petrol and cheap to insure..
like all cars make sure you check, check and check again...:)

Firsts things first as it it quite obvious the alloys are not original.
Been a punto automatic there are rare so if it rides your boat inquire about it.
The good thing about the automatic punto is that the hold there value better then the manual gearbox and also the new fiats arent like the old ones they are more reliable

The alloys look very like the genuine older ones my dad has on his '06 diesel GP...

I have driven a couple of puntos and have been relatively suprised by them. Good solid car for the money, good engines. Not gonna set your world on fire, but no car in that class will. Certainly better than any other car I have driven within that class. Don't listen to the fiat bashers, they either don't know what they are talking about or they drive french cars. Btw I haven't driven the auto.
