    Did anyone apart from me (unless I am hearing things) hear the ref call during one of the fights to "stop stamping" ??? I think it was the Leites fight...

    Stomping the feet has not been banned has it?

    I pray to Marco Ruas it's not so.

    A Montreal only rule it was one of the things UFC had to change to appease the Montreal commission who arent hot on MMA. Could have been WAY worse.

    Funny, i remember that, had forgotten until right now.

    Better than the projected Open Hand Punches they were trying to introduce.

    And was there something about a standing 8 count too in Montreal or was I imagining that
    (i know it didnt come into effect but I can remember rumblings about it being required :confused: )

    If you've ever seen UFC 9 you'll see how bad modified rules can be

    They banned Closed Fist Strikes ON THE DAY of the event.

    The whole thing was silly and the main event saw Shamrock and Dan Severn dance with each other for 20 minutes.
