Docter makes a very good product. No experience with your particular scope.

there well made scopes ,i would have no problem using one if it was what i was after.

if you can get it worth the money buy it ,if not buy one of the other 4 top makes.

Why aren't the mods taking these people to task regarding their semi literate spelling and txt speak? It's clearly stated in the forum charter.

What Bunny Shooter said. We've been a little bit preoccupied with the whole Misc. Bill banning nearly a third of our disciplines, creating an economic monopoly on all our equipment, changing our firearms licencing regulations and some other small things...

(Oh, and for the irresistible irony, it's semi-hyphen-literate and 'text' speak :D )

For that price I would be looking at something more versatile than a 8x56. In around the same price is the Bushnell 6500 with a Mag range from 4-30x50 with good optics and this would cover you from woodland stalking to long range targets.

This is what I put on my new 7mm08 for this coming deer season
    http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=L451440vx111mp

and im well impressed with it...the optics are crystal clear out to full zoom(14x) and its very light(13 ounces )
The reticle isnt too thick for a bit of target work and it didnt break the bank(500 notes delivered)
