Positive Insurance Claim

I recently had to make a claim for damages and replacement of stolen items after a break-in to my caravan. My insurance is with Dolmen / Finsure and they have been brilliant in dealing with the claim. The assessor came out, had a look at the damage and rang back the next day to say that the claim had been approved and we would be getting a check for the full amount minus excess in a few days.

I was worried when taking out the insurance that because of the lack of competition, the service would be poor when making a claim. Both companies have been very helpful with processing the claim.

Dolmen operate a group scheme. You premium won't rise for claiming, but the renewal for next year will possibly be higher for everyone.

So are you saying that noone should claim on their insurance ? Any insurance company can only be judged on how they process a claim and in this case I thought the service was excellent.
