you can buy stuff in the chemist to put on your nails, its to stop thumb sucking and nail biting..it tastes horrible! believe me, i was a thumb sucker..
cant remember what its called though..
    ask at the counter maybe.

Doubtful that ul stop completly for 4 weeks if it is a ''fierce'' habbit, not being nasty but being realistic!
Try the disgusting tasting nail varnish anyway but if it doesnt kick the habbit for you how about getting acrylics?

I know this wont solve your biting nails problem but you could get acrylic or gel nails???this way you cant get at your own nails to bite them and they would look so nice for the wedding, and when they start growing out you can get them topped up to keep them looking lovely!!:p

I gave up biting my nails randomly about two months ago and haven't looked back since. the key to my sucess was taking pride in my nails growing, feeling like I had achieved something. I started shaping my nails by filing them and used really nice hand creams which distracted me from biting and occupied my time. I have to say I was the worst nail biter ever, I used to bite so much I'd make my fingers bleed.

Maybe you might look into why you're biting your nails too? Like is it boredom, stress, etc? You should go for a manicure, they can soften up the hard skin around your nails and give you something to work with, try to give some shape to the nails. You should definitely try the nail varnish too, but just like anything else, you need willpower as well as products. Just think of the finished product and how nice it will be every time you lift your hand to your mouth and stop it from happening.

I have the same problem - biting my nails , stop let them grow and bite them again
Problem is that my nails are so weak that they split and break and chip so easy that it i get a rugged edge i bite it to take it off

Don't disgard the false nail idea compleatly. You can get then and trim them to a more manly shape. You might have to find a packet containing only thumbs to get some big enough though.

Failing that there is always the cotton glove option. Again it might seem wrong to wear gloves 24 hours a day for 3 weeks but it will stop you from unconsiously ruining your nails.

Failing that there is the Stop Biting them option. Willpower. You just have to NOT be a nailbiter. None of the "I'm TRYING to quit" stuff, either you are a biter or you aren't. Same principle goes for smokers. You are a smoker or you are not a smoker, it's your decision.

Oh yeah, wearing gloves at the wedding is a cop out.:D
    Good luck.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.
