Has anyone seen this or bought it? clickity
Looks like good value and something that could be a lot of fun. I like building things in general (and taking them apart for that matter) so I reckon this would be right up my street. There's one video on youtube of a lad playing it and it sounds fairly decent too!

I'll be gettin' me one of these very soon! :D

For 40 notes you cant really go wrong. Wouldnt mind me a cajon but i have other things on my eyes right now...

:pac: It's a percussion instrument. Essentially it's a wooden box with a snare in it. You sit on it and depending on where you hit it you get different sounds such as bass drum, snare, even hi hats. They're great for busking and really small gigs.

Ya, I could do with getting a drum kit myself but sure as you say for 40 notes you really can't go too far wrong!

Yeah, I got one. You need a few clamps or tension belts to put it together and It says you need wood glue too. (nail gun does the job). Its a little rough lookin in comparison to the real deal but if you're on a budget it does the job!

I got myself one a few weeks ago from a fairtrade shop around exchequer street in dublin. only cost me €50 already fully made - a real bargain. lovely sound / build. no snare though. I dont really miss it though. I like the bass drum kicks without snare anyway. The day i was there i took the last one, but ill check next time im around to see if they have more in.

Cool, I just rang the fair trade place and they are going to see if they can get one.
The diy one seems like a bit too much effort for me. I'm a bit crap at Diy :)
