Hi. Looking for a bit of help/feedback/suggestions.

Paid my €5 for month's subscritpion to Eurosport online player to watch the Giro. Been having trouble with the player. Commentary coming through crystal clear but having trouble with the streaming of live video. Trying to watch standard quality, but player keeps "buffering..." and am lucky if have 10secs of continuous footage, video/image freezes, etc.

Thought it was my internet connection but after trying it on a better connection and still having the same trouble.

Is footage on online players always like this or is it down to something else? Is anyone else having the same problem? Wasn't expecting it to be television quality but was expecting it to be better than it is.

Does anyone have any suggestions as regards how to improve video coverage or is it always broken video images with live online player?

If the commentary is coming through while the video is out that usually suggests that the stream is still running. I.e. it's not a problem on your end.

The player works very well for me, but I've had that happen a couple of times - for maybe 10/20 seconds at a time during coverage but I don't think that's down to the online player. They lose picture on the coverage sometimes.

Maybe drop their support desk a mail. They're usually quick enough to respond.

There's also a euro sport stream on www.justin.tv - it's free. Tomorrow when you're watching the stage, try the justin.tv stream and see if it gives you the same trouble

I have no problem but contrary to above -- its common to get a good live stream of voice and a crap picture. This usually means you internet connection is a little bit slow.. but thats usually not your issue. I work at home occassionally and when I stream on two pcs each one suffers poor picutre quality but the sounds is usually fine.

Good luck -- try watching again and see if you have the same issue.

I have no problem with the Eurosport Video and my connection is only a 2 megs irishbroadband.

Maybe you could try in a different browser?

I know this is an old thread but the same problems exist.
Buffering is happening a lot when traffic gets high, and when it pauses it tends to repeat the last few seconds of before stopping. Of course eurosport won't acknowledge it. french ****.

I used to use the online eurosport player and found it to be ok but not much better.
I now use sky player, a sky subscriber can have either of 4 or 5 different computers registered to a single sky sub (that has eurosport subscription) and you can select the stream quality ( low medium high) depending on your broadband speed.
I find it very reliable, it is a minute behind but not an issue if away from a tv anyway.
Might be an option for you if a sky subscriber but you may not be if you are watching exclusively online.
If so then keep emailing them french guys i guess.
    Best of luck with it

Anyone having problems with Eurosport Player online today? Streaming seems to be frozen during an ad break.

I have the same issue - stream is stuck on a McD's ad on my PC, not getting any content at all on my phone

I dropped them an email about it, hopefully it'll be back soon!
