steel for pheasants

    does anyone use steel regularly for pheasants and what choke do u use.

    i would not use it on game ,lead has gone back down in price of late so i cant see the point of it.

    its ok to shoot a few clays at close range.

    also some manfuactures recommend not using tighter than half choke using steel.

    I would not use steel shot on pheasants or anything else unless required by law to do so. Are you shooting a gun proofed to shoot steel? If not you will in short order ruin it.
