    What procedure should be followed when trying to find the parametric equation of a curve when only given two points ?

    Well it depends on what type of curve it is. Is it a straight line? A parabola, etc,?

    I'm not exactly sure but I assume parabola.
    Heres the exact question.
    The Parametric Eqautions of a curve are :
    X=In(1+t^2) and Y=In2t Where tER, t>0
    Find the Value of dy over dx when t=(5)^1over2

    It's not a parabola. In fact, you don't need to parameterise anything there as it's already done for you. To calculate dy/dx you neet to calculate dx/dt and dy/dt and then dy/dx = (dy/dt)(dt/dx).
