    Hi
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with any good salvage dealers in the North? Have access to good crash repair faciltities and tend to buy the odd motor now and then to sell on...or anyone with any expericence in travelling to uk for cars?

    Any help - much appreciated...

I've never actually used them, but Traynors are well known throughout the car industry. Could be one to look at. Located in Armagh AFAIK,

The salvage at Traynor's is poor, anything half decent is sold as soon as it arrives ... remember there are car dealers and panel beaters passing throught there all day every day.

I have found that the price of salvage cars in NI is not that much less than the trade price of straight cars, so why make work for yourself if that is the case ?

Salvage auctions are a better bet. Try Universal Salvage in UK (4 or 5 sites), or Portglenone Salvage (operating a Universal Salvage franchise) in Antrim.

There is a company up North in the Omagh direction on the A5 called Damaged Repairables! Some good looking stuff not that badly damaged there every time I pass it.

Can't find a link handy though...

Gabriel Snow's place ? On the RHS as you go North, looks like it was a filling station at some stage ? Mostly cars in from England, possibly sourced at auction ?

That's the place... Can't find any numbers though so you might oblige the OP ?

Thanks for all the help guys, purchased on Saturday from private owner up north on Sat.

I wondered in general - is anyone else selling second hand cars out there and how things are going? whats selling? etc etc

I have found that small stylish, low powered stuff is in real demand and if you buy right - you can still turn around a few quid pretty quick...especially with the killer sterling rate
