    Quick question,

Does anyone know how to remove a number plate that has been stuck on(not screwed) and what someone uses to stick it back on? Any ideas where to get it?

    Cheers

what i did was grab the plate and pull as hard as possible, and to stick on the new ones i used those white sticky back pads:)

try slide a knife in behind it. I just ripped my one off(lol) and used double sided sticky tape to put new one on.
Then used said sticky tape to stick cd's to the wall. Dirty dinner plates to the counter. Etc etc

x2 to the knife behind the plate.

You need to get 'Badge Tape' from a motorfactors. Clean the surface with alcohol and stick and nothing should **** it!

If you can grab some part of the numberplate, and then ease it off. You don't want to pull off any paint etc. Once you have it off, clean the paintwork behind it, and use double sided sticky tape to stick it back on, (or even screw it back on.)

Don't just yank it off, it could easily lift paint if its really well stuck on.
Instead use a length of dental floss. Slip it in one side of the plate and then "saw" it through the sticky pads. Once the plate is off it will be easy to remove the residue left behind.

You can do damage just ripping it off. More then likely it will not come off with a little tug so try some rubbing alcohol alright, nothing that is going to damage your paint however.

For sticking one back on, if there are no screwholes in the car then you can get strong double sided tape from a hardware or motor store or ask for the tape used specifically for numberplates. Make sure you clean down the area first and dry it. Should have no problems.
