    Hi all,

I have been nagged for ages now to get German TV for for the girlfriend.

My satellite is up and mounted, the reciever was set up and found the Astra 19.2 satellite. The reception for the satellite reception for Astra 19.2 and Astra 28.3. The Signal Intensity is is 76% , Intensity is 73%.

I can get most of hte english speaking channels on both, but can't get the german ones. I even swapped recievers with a friend , who had it set up correctly.

So I know its tough to answer, but anyone have any ideas on what could be going wrong?

Do I need to change something with the TP Frequency, Polarity ?
Or is it the position of the satellite

I just can't understand why I get some channels on Astra, but no german ones (and I'm not talking about the premium ones)

    Any help appreciated.

    PJ

What stations do you get ?

What box do you have ?

Have you tried the Austrian version of the stations (eg. SAT1 Austria) ?

    Unless you've either 2 LNB's or 2 dishes, you're not picking up both Astra's.

It seems your dish is aligned to Astra 2 at 28°E, so you'll need to move it to Astra 1 at 19°E.

The reason you can tune in channels on both via menu is because some of the frequencies can be on both satellites.

I tried two different boxes Fourtec Star FS 4200 , and also a Tevion both of them did not pick up the channels.

    I got BBC, ITV etc.

Looking to get, ZDF, RTL, SAT 1 etc.

As byte suggested you are on the wrong satellite. Astra 2 instead of Astra 1.
