    Folks,
I need an excel spreadsheet that will facilitate the amount due for Income Tax and the amount of Preliminary Tax already paid giving a total amount due from 2004 onwards.
Unfortunately, I cant seem to get my head around this and gone through reams of paper trying to think of way I can record this.

Any help would be graetly appreciated!!!!

Have you asked him to see you outside normal office hours? Could you take time off to see him during the day?

If you aren't happy with your accountant, maybe its time you looked for someone else. A month is a long time to be chasing your accountant.

Is it a simple tax return?

Thanks, Yes I have asked him but unavailable. To be honest we have decided I wont be dealing with him again. Its a simple form 11 form and he excluded alot of purchases which is increasing our Net Profit thus, increasing Income Tax.
I wouldnt mind if I handed him a box of files and everything in a mess, but everyhting was done in spreadsheets-I have since moved away from this to computerised as it is much more manageable. He has billed me around €1300 and all that was required was to compute capital alloawances for two assets and compute the Form 11 form. I submit P35, P30's and monthly VAT etc etc. Would anyone have a spreadsheet reagrding the above?? any help would be really appreciated...........also how do I post depreciation on a monthly basis on solutions plus?.....again thanks for your help guys!!

    Hi Fraggle.

    Such spreadsheets are rare.

In addition 2004 is closed from December 2008 so there is no requirement to re-open it.

I'd advise you if you are unhappy with your accountant to go see another one or ensure he is a registered AITI tax consultant.

Also why would you need to see him? Most clients just email in the data and it's done in house.

Fraggle, you should make contact with accountant again. Tell him you are unhappy with the service he has provided and you are in the process of looking for new accountant. Tell him if he doesn't have your accounts ready by a time limit you will not be paying him and you will be calling that day to collect your stuff for new accountant.

There are loads of good accountants out there who are looking for new clients and you seem to have all your stuff in order so it should be easy to get everything upto date.

I don't know where you would find spreadsheet for this. I havn't used solution plus but you could probably do a journal entry for depreciation. If you have a support package with them, then ring up and ask.

    Hi fraggle79,

I will second what crazzzzy says, ring up and ask. Thesaurus usually have good support and will talk you through it. Their number should be on your solutions plus package or their website.

I'm afraid I have no answer for you on the spreadsheets but have you ever used ROS offline? You can fill in your Form 11 information here and extracts from your accounts, all your figures and capital allowances etc. and then you hit "calculate now" and you can print out a tax computation. It is a great free package and once you have downloaded the various up to date forms you can fill them out for any year.

    It is available at ros.ie/downloads.
