I would like to retrieve an article

There is an article that I would like to retrieve from the archives of a certain Irish newspaper.

The thing is, this goes back to, maybe 2002 or so, maybe even earlier.

Now, despite the unsurness of my post, this is actually being posted on behalf of a friend of mine, who knows the exact paper, and date (I think she even remembers the page number!!)

Is this possible?
Is this difficult?
Is this time consuming?
Is this costly?

Which paper, the indo archive goes back years. The wayback machine might be able to grab it out of the ether.

Go to Google news, type in the name of the newspaper and title of the article. There is an archive heading on the left hand side of the screen, click on "All dates". There is an option to narrow your search down to a specific year. You might get lucky.
