What is the story with the price of these crackers?

Even with Tesco reducing the price of lots of their items, Tuc crackers still sell for 1.69 euros. They can be bought in the north for 48 pence, its crackers!

that at this exact minute, the wholesale cost of a packet of TUC crackers is €1.51 plus VAT at 13 1/2% !

I am an independant store operating as a known symbol in dublin.

mcwhirter dont mind Jip post - these type of posts raise awareness and that’s what’s needed to stop the rip off occurring.

Where, and was it an offer. Many people in these threads are going up north getting stuff on offer and then seeking out the highest price they can find down here, like going into a petrol station or something ridiculous.

Price comparison here for 4 different shops in the UK are all 93p each. http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/sainsburys-price-comparison/Crackers/Jacobs_Tuc_Original_Snack_Crackers_150g.html

So I suspect you got a half price deal.

The thievin' XXXX in my local Spar charge €2.99 for a pack. Aldi sell them for about €1.50 (actual TUC and not some knock-off.)

MOD EDIT: cleaned it up a bit

Right so off to Aldi at 10.30 at night for some fags, boose and some Tug crackers.

Oh yeah they'll be closed cause they are not a conveniace store.

this really annoys me too, and what's even worse is those who compare the price on a uk website (amazon or the likes) to a small independent retailer in a sky-high rent location in dublin

For the purposes of hysterical price comparisons you take the cheapest price up North and compare it with the dearest price down South.

That's the first rule of Price Club....

also in price club you must ignore posts that actually disclaim your wild assumptions.

Supersouse mentioned what the trade price of a pack of TUC is down south and yet .. you all choose to ignore him.

As the rag top's mantra goes, 'don't let the truth get in the way of a good story'
