Ive been all over this board trying to get some info on this one! We bought a new house and the alarm is working but it has a ridiculous user code which a toddler could think up so naturally I want to change it. I presume this is in some other menu which I cant get access to. My other half thinks I need the engineer's code for it which obviously I dont have and I've tried the 4567 which doesnt work. I tried 1234 aswell.
I also want to turn the volume down on the talking man as he's waking up the baby!
    Any help anyone please?

If you want ot change your code you will need the engineer code. No way around changing the code without it. You will need to contact the orignal installer of the alarm or another alarm company to default the panel and change the codes. Regarding the sound on the keypad you cant turn the voice down but you can turn it off. 2 ways of doing so , 1 take off the cover of the keypad and remove the wires connecting the PCB and the speaker or 2 turn the volume off from the engineer mode.

argh i hate this system! my old one was great we never once needed the engineers code for it and never had to call a company either!it was in 12 years when we were moving. thanks for the reply though ill just have to cough up for a code or worse still they wont even give it to me and just set the whole lot themselves instead!

when you get the engineer out to change the code ask for the manager menu to be enabled to your user and then you will be able to change your own code in the future with out an engineer code!

youll need the engineer's code for this as its restricted to change any code. call the installer and ask them for it. if they refuse, ask them to do it for you.
