    im running xp sp3.

i had a buffallo 54g usb wireless adaptor and it was working fine then one day it stopped i reinstalled windows and it worked again.. i reinstalled window over the previous one so had dual boot.

the next day i start windows and it boots into the previous installation, and i restart boot into new one and adaptor will not work , at all... i try on laptop with xp and its not recogised by windows at all, no usb ding dong sound.. nada!

i boot into the new installation again with a belkin adaptor and install the the drivers, cos windows actually recognised it. all is good.

next day same prob.. boots into the old cos i didnt select the other, i reboot select newwer installation and the belkin is now fooked totally in my comp and laptop as if it is shorted out like the buffallo.

today i have formated the HD and made a fresh install but before sacrificing another adaptor im posting here incase anyone has experienced anything similar, could it be a strange virius on my other HDs, which i use for storage, drivers and essential installs?

any help in getting my to old Wireless adaptors to work again would be great!
