Anyone get Sky HD recently..after a long wait?

    I ordered it last week and got an email to say the waiting time is 5-7 weeks. OK so I'm not in any mad hurry but what's the story with that delay?

    I ordered Sky HD on 28th April, received card on 7th May and had it installed yesterday(12th May).
    This is in Cork and I ordered through a local installer/kiosk

    Thanks for that. I ordered it direct from Sky. Not sure if that makes any difference.

    Takes much longer direct to sky. A local independant installer should be able to do it in around a week.

    lucky sods :eek: Mine took almost 10 weeks, just got it yesterday. Again, ordered directly from sky. Definitly would recomend going with an independant agent.

    I ordered ages ago (March?) and didn't hear anything after a week, so chased them up. Promised a date confirmation was coming. Nothing ever did. Threw my hat at it.

    Yesterday the Sky + box started acting up - no audio out of the AV amp, audio out of the telly alright but a buzzing/white noise when you change the channel etc, so I figured it was time to chase them up again. Phoned this morning and I've supposedly got an installer coming out on Monday.
