We are thinking of booking Rewind to play at out wedding reception, they will do a 2, 3, 4 or 5 piece, we will probably go for 2 or 3 as the budget is getting tighter :( anyone heard them play or know what they are like?

Haven't heard of them but i know a lot of bands are giving the option of a smaller number for a cheaper price. The bands i have heard were not good when cut down. The might be using keyboards to play drums, bass and brass.
All i'd advise is if you are booking the 2 piece, go and see the 2 piece and the sme with the 3 piece or 4 piece

Thanks for the reply, I was afraid of that to be honest....as you said, the only thing to do it to go see them play. Had a great local 2 piece in mind and went to see them and they were brill, they always have just been a two piece. They told me they were available etc but when i got back to them to say we would like to go ahead with booking they didnt reply, so thats why im beginning to look elsewhere

I'd pay the extra for a full band. A 2 piece will do the job but won't whip the crowd into that 'hit the dance floor i'm locked' mood. That's my superior opinion anyway.:D

    +1
The band is everything at a wedding imo.
I've been asked a few times to cut down the band for functions but it just would not be the same. I'd be shooting myself in the foot in the long run because it would'nt be as good
