After last weeks 3 days of gale force winds both my japanese maple and apple tree have a severe case of dry/scorched leaf. The leaves on the maple are now all wrinkled and "crispy" and the apple trees leaves have black edges. Anyone know of a remedy?

Stating the obvious here but, keep the wind off,

the maple especially hates wind. needs to be well sheltered,

if we get a week or 2 without high winds they should come back fine.

I've a young japanese maple and it's in the corner of two walls because they need shelter from the wind. It will probably recover all by itself but you could help it along with a good watering (todays rain should be enough) and maybe some liquid fertiliser. The apple tree I'd imagine will recover too - they're hardy enough.
