Dodgy Charger

The cable on my Macbok charger has become frayed and unreliable to charge up due to some break on it. I have it strapped up with tape but even still it's wonky. Is there any point in getting this repaired first off and secondly where can I get hold of a replacement charger in the Dublin area before Friday, either new or second hand?

Contact apple and they will replace it for you.

If this is the case, then woo whoo! :)

The LED in my charger is dodgey. It lights up when it's plugged in first and then turns off after a few mins.

It still charges though. I just thought it was weird.

Just wondering do I have to go through Tyrell, Dectek, etc?

All of these places seem to be more focused towards sound engineers and the like rather than individual customers....

As Bedlam says, you must contact Apple first off or your point of purchase. If you come armed with a little bit of information (Mac's Serial number, the name of the fault etc) and a reasonable assumption that it isn't age or user caused, some patience to make the call (I took about 40 minutes last night and both the rep and I were on great terms throughout) then you should be fine.

Only certain repair centres deal with warranty/call back faults so you are stuck with them, I'm afraid.
