Crow Ladder Trap

    Finally got around to building a crow ladder trap over the weekend. An advantage of being in the local gun club is that funds can be made available for project like this.

    where bouts do they get in? is it in the valley part?

    Ya at the base of that V is a ladder type gap, they can jump down but cannot fly out.

    Forgive the ignorance, Im not from a hunting background. But I was just wondering how do you kill all those crows when you have them in the trap.

    Obviously breaking the neck is the most humane... but I wouldnt say standing inside that trap trying to catch wild birds is the easiest thing in the world. I dunno.

    Nice job and looks well built. Got yourself a great catch - are they all greys? Looks like a few black lads in the photos.

    By the way, you need to fix the date on your camera - says you took the pics in October 2006 in the pitch dark of night!:D
