Cleaning Muck off AEG

Whilst I don't mind a bit of muck on my AEGs and pistols I have effectively gone bog snorkeling with one or two items recently.

Now I'm also a lazy git which is why after two years airsofting I am only now considering cleaning the mank off some of my AEGS.

Two concerns, corrosion and accidentally removing paint.

Anyone got a tried and tested method of cleaning the bodywork?

Silicone oil actually works pretty well once you've got the bulk off

Will leave a slightly gloss finish though

    Baby wipes do the job

a good wipe with a damp cloth and then a wiping down with a clean cloth with WD40 is the best way. WD40 is great for driving water out of the tight areas and it'll also clean off surface rust. :)
