    Hey all,

I'm aiming at gael force this year but I need advice from you wise and wonderful people on the running side. I used do xc running MANY moons ago but I know squat about approprate footwear for this type of running. Anyone care to advise?

Also what size road tyres will do the xc part of the cycling?

    Thanks

the wise and wonderful people on this website might wanna make some sort of sticky for gaelforce queries;)

Search gaelforce and enduro has answered most questions...

Road bike with puncture resistant road tyres, you'll probably have to walk about 500m to 1k of the offroad section although all of it has been cycled on roadbikes.
Trail shoes with some grip and some support (bounce).

Whether or not you use different shoes for the biking and running comes down to personal choice and the likelihood of you making up the time it takes to change shoes 3 times on the cycle if you have proper bike shoes.

Some idiot talks about a cyclocross bike being the best, he's wrong - a roadbike is best - just don't puncture!
