I have a new fuel tank for it and a few other bits so should be on the road in a few weeks.

    Looks great, lovely colour too.

Needs a bit of paint. too. Some bubbling on scuttle under windscreen like most 18s and 1 door has had a bad job at some stage--all part of the course:rolleyes:

    Hi Johnf2020,
Are you a Renault fan or just classics in general. I have a 1967 Renault 10 and I would like to get in touch with others with classic or vintage Renaults.

Great adverts, I particularly like the 'little furnace of a heater' and 'vents that blow air on your face and won't give you wind burn'. Thats I assume comes from ' its not the sun but the wind that burns you' theory:D

The Car Park at MIDWAY is big enough but never full. Its at the Cork/Dublin Junction

There's one on in Mount Street, Dublin which I am more likely to go to

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 88 ✭✭Gagetman

Is this a French car show?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 132 ✭✭Camarague

    I don't think it's a show, or even if it's definitely on.

Lauder suggested a meet on Mount Street on that Day, for classics of any kind.

But either way, Mount Street is closer than Portlaoise...

Didn't get the response I was hoping for on this one. I think more time is needed to get word around for a bigger showing. I am proposing to pospone next Sunday for a later date. In the meantime try and track down more french car owners.

    Hi everyone,
I am bringing this one back to life as I am on a mission again. The Limerick Vintage & classic car show is on May the 30th and I am trying to get Renault/French car section going. I have been in touch with the Renault club of Ireland and they are very keen on the idea.
So I am trying to get the message out to as many people as I can with an interest in Renault or french cars to come along on the day and meet up with other owners. The more people turn up the more interesting it will be for everyone.
So if you are interested or if you know anyone who might be let me know so I can get an ides of the numbers.
If this is a success then other events could be held at different shows around the country so everyone will get to have a show near them at some stage.

    Regards
    Gagetman

There is a lad who lives in Templeouge in Dublin who has a silver R18 (200HZU). I see it every day going to and from work. It's in spotless condition.
