    Hi all,
Quick question. A friend is getting married and I can't make it to the wedding. What is the usual protocol? I was thinking about sending a card and 100euro as a gift. Anybody know whats uaually done?

    Thanks.

    I think that's a lovely gesture

That would be a very nice gesture indeed and much appreciated.
One thing I noticed after my wedding was that of the people invited that couldn't make it, if they were of my parents' generation then they sent a card and gift (some cash, some actual items) but if they were of our age it was just a "Sorry, can't make it!" :D
Don't let manners die out (or let us young ones down!!)
