I'm looking for a set of front mudguards for MF 5400 Series. Can anyone recommend any online sites ? Local co-op is 500 Euro which is a crazy price.

    Thanks

Yeah, there are a mad price, same as prices them for my 390 and there over 500.Vapormatic do front mud-guards you should price them. And the odd time they come up on ebay. here is the link http://www.vapormatic.com/catalogue/catalogue.ashx?prmPageDetail=50&prmSource=0140&prmOem=AA&prmSearchType=0&prmAreaId=513&prmMachineId=0&prmMajorId=6134&prmTitle=Tractor,%20Front%20axle%20mudguard&prmUser=&prmVapLang=ENGLISH&prmCutDown=True

vapormatic are a trade only company so i dont think they will give you a pricelist. try cliffords garage in trallee, co kerry. mind you 500 is not an unrealistic price for them. if i gave you 500 and got you to make them youd struggle.

the brackets for the axle are hard to make, the mudguard itself is expensive. the supports have to be profiled and adjustable.

im going off on one again amn't I ...............

Is it just the plastic youre looking for or do you need the brackets too? I assume its a 4WD. Genuine MF complete kits (*2 sides* are about the price you said €480 inc vat) are next to impossible to get. I should know im an MF dealer. If youre getting spurious ones be very careful because i have seen these and quality and fit is not great.

Thanks for the info Geezer - I need the full kit.

Marlyman - no repsonse from Vapormatic so they must be trade only.
I have no doubt that I would not be able to make the mudguards for less than €500, in just the same way if you gave me 48k I could not make the tractor. Mass production means they should be available for less.

    Vapormatic are trade only.

I looked a wee bit further into this and it turns out that front fenders are not available. Might be worth calling to a breakers yard although except maybe in the case of fire I doubt it if theres any of them scrapped.
