Career Assessment Tests

Hi, I'm at a crossroads at my career, basically fed up with my job, but not sure what to do next. Wondering if anyone has tried one of those career assessment tests where you do an aptitude test, personality test, etc to see what career path would suit you best. If anyone has , would they recommend it?

Yes, I tried career assessment this time last year. Tbh, it seemed to me like an elaborate 'magazine quiz', where you tick a, b or c and if you answered mostly c's then you suit this type of career. I paid 450 for it and my mates could have told me the same thing...I went because I too was at a crossroads and seemed to be developing a pattern of changing jobs every 2 years. For my money, it was not worth it. Didnt provide any startling insights
