I'm looking to buy a laptop before going travelling in July. would be mostly using it for storing photos, movies, etc and using the internet while abroad.

Have a budget of up to €450 and would like at least 1 year warranty. Any ideas?

Saw this laptop earlier and was wondering if people would recommend it. It has been substantially reduced in price.

If I was going travelling I'd leave my laptops at home and take my netbook.

Do you really need a 15 inch screen and DVD/CD drive?
A netbook is much more portable (even the power supply is smaller) and
they have much better battery life.

Have a look at the NC10 thread on the forum.

Have to agree with Gran Hermano

You're only loosing 1gb ram. It weighs less than a kilo and its no big loss if you get it scratched. It also has slots on the side for your sd camera. It has no cd/dvd drive but what would you need it for these days!!

Had mine 2 months and its amazing. The mouse pad buttons are a bit annoying as they are either side rather than below the pad but i could buy a mini mouse if it bothered me that much.

I got mine in Harvey Normans for €299 but io wish i'd found that site!! :-P
