Best make up counter other than MAC in BT's Galway?

    hi all,
I want to get my make up done in BT's in Galway in 2 weeks time. I usually go to the MAC counter but they're booked up (this is a last minute invite that I received).

Was going to try Laura Mercier or maybe Bobbi Brown - what do you think would be good? I dont need my make up to be as dramatic as MAC's can be (though I would like false eyelashes) but would like it to look good all the same. I tried the Benefit counter once but didn't like it much, thought I looked very pink after it!

Or where else could/should I try around Galway?

    Thanks!

Would you consider going to a professional freelance make-up artist?

I can highly recommend Caroline Coyne. She is just fantastic. I've used her loads of times. She wouldn't be any dearer than going to Bt's I don't think. She will go to your house if you want!

    How much do MAC charge?

this is Caroline's website if you are interested.

Heard Smashbox in Matt O'Flaherty is good. Have seen nice results!

    Bobbi Brown is good too!

Mac - always booked out, they charge €25, redeemable against products though

Blush seems quite good, a friend of mine got her makeup done there a few months ago and it was really nice. It's a bit expensive though, I think it was €50 and you don't get to use them money for products.

€25 is reasonable. Ah, make up artist would be dearer than that alright.

the bobbi brown team are awesome in galway. theres one girl in particular i loved, she was really frank about my makeup and my skin condition and how to improve it. they don't promise the sun and the earth and the products are very good imo.

plus bobbi brown will apply the fake eyelashes they just pop over and get you a pair from mac. got mine down from the arts ball last year.
