Kian Egan and Jodi Albert

Westlife's Kian Egan has tied the knot with actress fiancee Jodi Albert in a paradise wedding in Barbados.
The couple had been enjoying a romantic Caribbean holiday with friends in the run up to their nuptials.
The couple became engaged in December after almost four and a half years together.
Kerry Katona and Brian McFadden both snubbed the OK! wedding of their best chums Kian Egan and Jodi Albert.
However, the dream wedding was struck with sadness with Kian’s cancer-stricken father unable to attend the wedding after doctors advised him not to fly.
Despite his fathers absence, Kian was surrounded by his other family members, including his mother Patricia, brothers, Tom, Gavin and Colm, and sisters Marielle, Vivienne and Fenella.

You would think with his dad being sick he would have got married nearer to home or had a second ceremony back in Sligo - goes to show all that twat Kian and airhead Jodie think of is there deal with OK magazine and its not like they need the money

Maybe they had it booked before the Dad got sick, but I know what you mean, I defo wouldn't go abroad if one of my family members was unable to attend

I hope they had the decency to give the OK money to charity.

I hope they spent it on stuff they dont need.

Why the hell would you expect someone to give away their money unless they want to?

This rubbish of being expected tobiv emoney to charity is ridiculous. People are guilted into half the time.

Don't they have enough money without selling their wedding to a mag? I for one won't be purchasing it. And why not give their money to charity? Didn't Angie give hers and fair play to her.

Another person I was surprised about selling his wedding to the mags was Roger Federer. He seemed like a private person and he's a multi multi millionaire! Joke!

Personally if a close family member could not attend due to location I would not have it in that location - I do imagine however that most people faced with such a serious illness would want their family member to have the wedding of their dreams so people should not be that harsh on them.

How do we know what was decided within the family. For all we know, his father was happy for them to go ahead with the original plans and didn't want to have them changed for him? It doesn't sound good but who are we to judge?

God if it was me and my Dad was ill like that there's no way I'd have my wedding in a location like that and have him at home on his own.

Fame has gone to someone's head by the looks of things. I don't care if it was booked months in advance, they could have had a great wedding in Ireland and had his Dad at it.

How could they walk down the isle knowing the poor dad was home missing the wedding and seriously ill???
Id either postpone or else get married somewhere he could attend.

even if my dad insisted i go away for my dream wedding it wouldn't be my dream wedding anymore as he wouldn't be there.i reckon(just speculating)that they wanted the moneys from OK.

and yep Louis' girlband were there!

they'd have been contractually obliged to have the wedding abroad, I'd have a second ceremony at home as well, maybe he is, who knows!
