    Good afternoon

I am British, wife is Spanish and our child will be born in Ireland.

Q - The child will be Irish but does it automatically have dual-citizenship with Britain/Spain? Can you have three-way citizenship? Are there any advantages of opting for a certain nationality over the other? Who should i speak to about this?

    thanks

No need to speak to anyone. The child will be a citizen of the 3 states.
Are there any advantages of opting for a certain nationality over the other?
There are a few advantages with the UK passport particularly with some of the commonwealth countries.

So i dont need to make any applications as such? and child will have Irish passport but also 3-way citizenship? Does the passport note the British citizenship of Britain and Spain?

The childs' Irish Passport will not note any other citizenships held.

You will need to register the birth at the UK embassy and with the Spanish embassy if the you want the child to have the parents citizenship.
