I just booked my NCT test, it's due in June, I got a date for the end of July. The lady on the phone that I was dealing with said it was down to the Garda that pulls you over if they want to do you or not. I thought ringing a month in advance would be plenty of time. Anyone know much about the NCT and how this all works? This is only the second time the car has gone for the NCT in my possesion.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, you'd have to be doing something stupid in the first place for them to bother doing you for it in my opinion. Even then it's up to the judge whether you get points and when you explain your situation i'm sure they'd let you off..

Well in all the years I have been driving, I haven't been pulled over once. Drive "normally". Standard car etc etc.
