my car was broken into and vandalised last night.

They tried to hotwire it, but completely fcuked it up.

Its a 91 fiesta. They completely bent the steering column, the steering wheel is bent towards the drivers door. The underneath is in bits.
They got the battery going. Car was in ready to go, and radio was on this morning.

Car cost 400, 14 months nct left on it.

Is it worth my while getting it fixed.

    Thanks

Sorry to hear. I doubt it, TBH. To look on the bright side, an insurance claim shouldn't affect your NCB.

I agree with Anan1. You'd buy a new car, and NCT it for the same money it would cost you.

Yeah I wouldn't bother my arse with it. More hassle than it's worth tbh.

Knacker kids/teenagers. They will rob you just for the sake of it. They would rob a bottle of coke out of your hand just to entertain themselves.

    @Queen-Mise

Sorry to hear that. There are just complete scumbags:mad:. As the previous posters said you would probably change the car for the same money as the repairs.

A complete and utter scumbag sh1thead.

OP hard luck, get rid and get something else. There's a thread on here now with someone looking for cheap cars - you could get in before them

Em joyriders? They steal older model cars because they are less likely to have an alarm and immobiliser...

OP, not worth fixing. For the money you would spend on it you could get another one. Random examples for €400 with a bit of nct here and here

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Sorry to hear that, some scumbags out there alright.

I would agree with the consensus here though and scrap it and buy something else, can pick up a bargain!!

Chillax, I wasn't trying to be funny. I've been victim to car crime myself FYI.

Just cannot see the appeal a Fiesta would have to even the scummiest of scum. It's not exactly a performance motor, even for joyriding scrotes. I'd imagine most cars from the early 90's would have little or no value.

I would've thought you'd be fairly safe owning a small car that doesn't attract attention

I think the above post answers your question.

Hard luck OP. You'll surely find a cheap car again, doesn't sound like it's worth fixing tbh.
