Delayed root canal job.

    A few months ago I had a large two rooted tooth prepared with temporary filling for a root canal job which was to take place two weeks later, put it off due to funds. How long can I wait, is there an fear of the tooth becoming too brittle for the job if I put it off too long?

    ask ure dentist to put an ortho band or a copper ring around d tooth to prevent it fracturing, u mite b better off with a glass ionomer temp filling cos it sticks 2 the tooth, otherwise the temp mite fall out.

    OP, I'd have it checked periodically as the temporary filling could become compromised.
