Dead car! How will I get cd out of the stereo?

    My is car dead. Theres no power whatsoever in the car. Has been like this for a few weeks. Have had many problems with the car, and there would be a lot of work to put into it so definately won't be fixing up the car. Wouldn't be worth it. Saving for another car anyways.

    How would I get a cd out from the car stereo considering theres no power in the car to turn it on.

    Jump start. You don't even need to attempt to start your car. Just connect the jump leads.

    Most CD drives have a tiny hole under the disc slot. If your's has one then you can push in a paper clip to release the disc tray.

    Most cars don't have a tray - they usually have a slot where the CD is inserted. Power to the load/eject motor is required to extract the CD.

    Thanks for the replies. I'll see if one of my brothers can help me jumpstart the heap. Timmywex, thanks for your reply. The hammer is a good idea but I dont want to break the stereo. Its a good radio and I'll be passing it on to my brother.

    Why not press eject when your brother puts the radio in his car?:confused:

    You don't need to jump start the car, just connect it to the other cars battery or a battery charger and there should be enough juice to turn the radio on.
