Make-Up range was released in Ireland and The UK on Monday.

    What do people think?

I went into their store in BT2 today and loved it!

I got one of the girls in there, Wendy, to do my make-up.
I was very impressed with it - she was helpful, friendly and listened attentively to what I wanted done.

The packaging is pretty classical - think MAC and Bobbi Brown.
The price range is decent, similar to Mac - everything's roughly 15-20 euro.

I tried a lot of the products, I'd recommend their primer, blush and lipgloss.
Wasn't hugely taken on the foundation, concealer or powder, but that's just my opinion!

    I came away with this ;

The powder blusher - got it in 'tweak'. I was looking for something similar to a bright pink Pout blush that stopped being sold :(

All in all, I'd recommend the brand - the sales assistants were lovely and the products are quite impressive!
    :)

I love the range but the one in BT is useless. If you can, get to the stand in Debenahams in Belfast or just order online.

Definitely loving the lipglosses and pale foundations :D

    Why so hostile?

The products look quite nice on their site! I wonder do they have a counter in BT's in Cork?
    What are their eyeshadows like?

I got their cream foundation in a really pale (but not the goth white one) colour. When you look at it in the compact it looks sorta the colour of dead skin but is purrrfect on!! Not a hint of yellow/orange in it...whoop!

I really feel that this is a brand for me....love their theatrical take on everything. Was super happy they were coming to Ireland....now if only I could work for them!!

Do they do that in a liquid foundation or just in a cream compact?

The do the pale foundations in light liquid, rich liquid, cream and powder foundations. http://www.illamasqua.com/store/category/face/

I wanted a medium coverage so I was recommended to get the cream compact as the girl said the light liquid is very light and the other liquid is very very heavy. I normally stay away from compacts!

I didn't see it. I'm guessing you woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning?

I hear you! They've only just opened, so you could easily try and get in there! I asked the sales assistant who served me and she recommended a few make-up courses to me, she did one and she stand it stands very much to your advantage during interview!

Eyeshadows were nice - I tried this Gold one from their Sirens S/S 09 collection - it's a creme one! Very nice :)
Nice for a day or night-time look, as the colour can be subtle, or built up!

I had a look at some courses and they were totally out of my price range at the moment :( It is something I would love to do...especially for such a creative brand like them.

Their lipglosses are soooo nice too by the way!

Yeah! I tried this amazing cherry red colour.
    Looked lovely on!
I said I'd think about it and come back ... so I reckon I'll go back and buy it ;)

I know! The courses are somewhere around 600e +
    It's a bit mad!
You could try asking sales assistants for tutorials - I've done one-hour things with Benefit and Mac, threw them down on my cv!
It was free and I learned all their tips ;)
