ableton will do that job quite well. if you find yourself requiring an external audio interface then you may find Ableton bundled with it for free. The scenario you've described is pretty simple to deal with so almost any older version of ableton will do.

edit: just remembered ... maybe take a look at http://www.mixxx.org cos it's free and may work in the way you are considering though I've never used it so can't vouch for how well it deal with midi triggering or even if it does

it's a few years since I used v6 but if you can have two audio tracks and then drop your songs into these and then use your midi controller to switch between tracks. Very easy.

edit: the 'cross fader' feature will allow you to move reasonably seamlessly from one song to the next.

In some ways it's almost overkill unless you want to start doing things like beat matching.

Looks like the v6 freebie would do the job without you spending any money.

Do you not have Mainstage with your version of Logic? As far as I know, it will do what you want on stage. I've never used it myself but it may be what you need and possibly have.

im an idiot.. dont use it at all.. dont even know what it does never mind how to use it,, guessin i should take my finger out.. wondering can i pick and choose on the night what songs to play in whatever order and trigger them by midi controller to start when i want.. also need the metronome seperately going to the drummer..

Mainstage can pretty much do anything you want, it is totally customisable.

As for a click going from the drummer you could just route it to a spare output on your audio interface. The click could just be sent to the wedges so FOH won't hear it.
