How many jobs have you applied for so far?
Give us something to work on.

It's possible, just not very likely.

Depends... I'd say not great unless you get some of the immigrant communities leaving en-masse which I don't think is likely just yet.

Heck with work! Attend university for summer, party, and get buried in debt!

If you don't look for it: Zero chance.

If you call around to evey business in your local area you have a decent enough chance, but don't expect big $$$

Check local newspapers. Do up a CV and go round a few places.

    Where abouts are ya?

Are ya in college or school? Not that it makes a difference, but if in college it'd be great to get into something related to your course.

Summer jobs are for money only, not a career so take what you're offered I guess and bang out those CV's like there's no tomorrow

Try large supermarkets, bars, clubs, places that have a lot of young college students working there already. It's likely a proportion of these will be going away for summer, travelling etc. Furthermore many will be doing exams at the minute so may have taken time off get in there asap!

Get the CVs out on Monday, you can't be too early with that sort of thing and go in person to as many places as you can.
Let your future employer see you as well as the CV.

Follow up on any CVs you send to job ads by calling the manager / person who advertised the job. Call the people to let them know you're interested. Think common sense. If handing a CV in in person have a shirt and pants on. Get someone with a bit of experience to recheck the ole CV for you to make sure it's the business. Ask the parents also, maybe they know someone who owns a small business and is looking for some summer workers.
