Irish / English Movies set in the 80's - Suggestions?

    My mum works in theatre (costume design) and has an upcoming production which will be set during the 80's period in England. Part of her design process involves watching film / TV set in the same period to help with forming ideas for costume choice.

    She's asked me to provide some films / TV set in this period in Ireland or the UK - just wondering if anyone can help out with some suggestions.

    So far all I can think of are

    * This is England
    * Clockwise & A Fish Called Wanda (John Cleese)
    * Educating Rita
    * Coronation Street (Could be difficult to source though)

    All suggestions welcome

    Wasn't the Commitments set in the '80s?

    This is England is the only other I can think of, and I think OP already mentioned that.

    It isn't. Heaven 17's "Temptation" may have been playing during the nightclub scene but that's about it.
