My physics teacher went on sick leave the 1st week of february and has not been able to come back. me and 13 out of 20 failed the pre and then i tried to give it up and take up geography in April! i am fair screwed for this and have not even started to study a thing for it! yep so any predictions would be greatly appreciated.! ;)

Just a feeling I got myself is that a sound question will be on d manditory experiments. There was no sound question last year so I'm thinking there may be one. That's all I got really.

My first tip is........dont predict for de exps!
Just dont , recipe for disaster, jus go over dem all nd dont b a lazy fcuk.

For de long questions, there will be a q on:

    Modern physics(mayb 1 nd a hav)
    Electricity(always is)
    Particle physics(always is)
Sound will prob come up and also heat.
next after sound and heat is light.

    dont do mechanics

I know it's not but I'm just saying that I think there will be an experiment on sound as last yr there was an experiment on all the parts except sound. And there's only 3 experiments for it.

Why what's wrong with the post? Is it just the text speak because I'd say the advice is good enough. It's hard to narrow down the experiments and questions on the option, electricity and nucleur physics are likely to come up.

These are kind of educated hunches....
Section A: Something on light(mirrors, lenses, refraction), something relating to this topic made an appearance 03,05,07....
Exp. on waves, either speed of sound using a resonance tube or frquency of a string....

Section B: Q. 6 last yr had to do with Gravity and all that...so maybe something to do with SHM? Haven't seen it in a while...

X RAYS!!! Hasn't shown up in ages......

I think in section A these experiments have a very good chance of coming up:

    Refractive index of a liquid
Newton's second law that acceleration is proportional to force
Two experiments with the sonometer with frequency length and tension
Speed of sound in air with the resonance tube

I think we can savely say that the period of a satellite (my favorite section) won't be coming up this year :( maybe something to do with netwons laws of motion instead like on my mock papers or a long question on resultant vectors.....SHM was a full question in 07 i think so i dunno really.I hate SHM anyways .

are heat experiments not likely to come up. everyone in my class is saying that some sort of heat experiment is a banker.
i wish i could do last years paper. it was so easy. all my good topics were on it. now im not so sure.

Heat experiemtns come up most years. It may come up as a question rather than an expt, but it wouldn't be wise not to study it.
Since fusion of ice came up last year, go over vap of water/ and electrical method.

Anything that came up last year in Sect A are gonna be the last thing i look over if at all

Copy Pasta from myself in other thread...

Alright lads, lets look at this.

    Section A.

    Question 1 (Mechanics normally)

G by Free Fall (Graph of d against t^2, slope is acceleration)

    Conservation of Momentum (m1u1 + m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2)

    Question 2 (Usually heat)

    Boyles Law (Graph of P v 1/v)

Latent Heat of Vapourisation (Mass of water x SHCWater x DeltaTheta) + (Mass of Calirometre x SHCCopper x Delta Theta) = (MLv) + (Mass of of Steam x SHCWater x DeltaTheta)

Question 3 (Can be sound or Lenses, bet your mortgage its sound)

Speed of Sound in Tube (Graph of L v 1/f and 4x slope = speed of sound)

Natural Frequency and Length (Graph of F v 1/L)

Natural Frequency and Tension (Graph of F v Route T)

    Question 4 (Always electricity)

Joules Law (Graph of DeltaTheta v I^2)

    Resistivity of a piece of wire (P = R x A/L)

    Remember guys

Women = Time x Money (It is well known women take up your time, and more time is more money)

Time = Money (Yes thats right it does)

    So women = money^2

    But

Money is the route of all evil

    so women = (route evil)^2

    so women = evil

As for section B, just learn off the definitions and formula, but tbh mechanics was all over my section b on the mock, and mocks are always good predictions.
