Hey. I'm currently in the process of chosing an armalite to buy. I'm stuck between Classic Army's M15A4 and King Arms (or Star) M4A1. They're both in and around the same price. I've done review searches, and they both seem to fair pretty well, although there are a helluva lot more CA M15s knocking about! I thought I'd ask the knowlegable folks here if they had any thoughts. Has anybody any experience with both and can give me a bit of insight? Thanks in advance!

Go for the star or the King Arms, the CA is a piece of cr@p. the star has a quick change spring system and is a very high quality rifle, as is the king arms although their buid quality can be a little erratic sometimes. the CA has probably an 80% fail rate so i'd avoid that like the plague.

This week have had 5 incidents with CA rifles, 3 of them sportslines.

2 customers picked up new gear sets, 1 customer needed a new piston, and 3 customers had rifles firing at ridic over the limit.

They are a serious piece of junk that I wouldnt waste my money on, how they are still selling rifles I have no idea.

I've been tempted to grab a Star rifle for some time now.

The secret of CA sportslines, or mine anyway, is to treat them like s***e, for some reason the worse you treat and neglect them the longer they last

As the others have said, avoid classic army at all costs. Last year i got the classic army M15-CQB and the classic army SR25. first day out the CQB stripped it's gears and the SR25 chewed the piston. Externally very good guns, Internally, S***E!! Which is a real disappointment. My first ever AEG was the classic army M15-RIS, still going strong, the only thing i've had to do in 4 years is change the pring and hop rubber. Just seems to be that in the past couple of years they've slipped very badly.

On the King arms, a few of the regulars at Predator now own their new Armalites and have nothing but praise for them. From personal experience the rate of fire and trigger response is fantastic.

I agree, great ROF and fantastic quality both externally and internally. the only thing that i wasn't happy about was the piston ring. on all 4 of the M7A1 troys i worked on they all had air seal problems. its not a huuge job though and once thats ok then you'll have a great gun. :)
