Really good barber / hairdresser in Dun Laoghaire, great prices

    Hi,

I've recently found a hairdresser on Patrick St., Dun Laoghaire who cuts my (male) hair for seven euro (nine for a wash & cut). I've been there twice now and think the cut is as good as the place on Baggot St where I used to pay twenty-something euro.

I recommend the place as a bargain. It's called Olivia Style. 2 friends (one male, one female, who don't know each other) use it too.

NB I've no connection / relationship with the place or its people beyond being a new customer.

My current barber has put up his prices AGAIN

mine did too about a year ago, but he was probably undercharging a bit at €6.50

now he's €8, which is still pretty decent, and does a good job

might try that dun laoighre one next time, although it's not as convenient as my regular

With this recession You have to look for value wherever you can find it. The only thing is I'm still very fussy and I don't want quality to suffer.

Still I've heard lots of good reports about that place. I believe it recently mentioned on the Joe Duffy show for excellent quality at reasonable prices.

My current barber has put up his prices AGAIN, so looks like I will finally give Olivia Style in Patrick street a try.
I had my hair cut there recently, but i wasn't happy, the barber shaved 'shill' into the back of my hair :D

Yeah guys, OP here, the last haircut I had at Olivia Style was so-so, so I'm watering down my own recommendation. I'll still be going back though, to see if that average-quality haircut was a one-off.

It seems they're getting into digital marketing, cos I got a text from them this week offering discounts on highlights, colours, etc.

Highlights, colours, etc, for blokes? Just buy a hair clipper from argos and have free hair cuts for years. Haven't paid for a cut in 15 years...

You got a text from them?? Why the hell would your barber have your phone number?

I usually go to the Polish place down beside the small Post Office beside the library on Georges Street. 5 euro Monday and Tuesdays for a cut so you can't go wrong. And one of the girls in there is hotttt! Takes a while before you get a bitta craic or chat out of them though. But 5 euro...happy hair day!

Well, when I make an appointment they take my number. Pretty standard practice really.
