First date in two years....

    Short and sweet post.

    Anyway. I've a date tomorrow with a girl and it'll be the first girl I've actually gone on a date with since my last gf dumped me. It's not that I've completely managed to alienate myself from girls. I've had a few one night stands but this is the first proper date I'll be on in two years. I'm really nervous about it.

    Anyway the plans are to have a walk on the pier in Dun Laoighre (sp?) and then maybe grab something to eat in Bray after.

    Basically I'm just paranoid that she won't like me because I got dumped by ex for no reason at all so I'm just worried that this girl might not like me either for whatever reason it is I got dumped for.

    Am I being stupid or just being cautious? I do really like this girl but this will be the first time we've properly hung out together.

    .... mmmmmm maybe the post wasn't as short as I thought.

    Firstly -- relax...

    you get on with this girl so far, she's interested in a date, these are good things. Some people don't gel but that doesn't mean there's something wrong with either party.
    The reason your ex broke up with you is her personal reason, not a generic reason that all girls are going to dump you for.

    Sounds like a really nice date planned, just be yourself (obviously ye both will be nervous) and enjoy it. If she doesn't like you for you, then she's not the right girl. But I reckon your date will go well. She'll be nervous too so don't worry.

    Hi OP. Don't worry, everything will go the way its ment to, just be yourself and enjoy the moment. I haven't gone on a date myself since my x broke up with me 2 years ago and would just love to be going on a date right now, but alas it hasn't happened yet.

    Enjoy your date though, and I hope it all works out :)

    Good luck with your date:D leave the past in the past move on with your life and just enjoy yourself this girl would not be going out with you if she didn't like you so be confident just relax and enjoy ;)
