    Hello,
Bought a new Wii for my son this evening. Brought it home, set it up and put in first disk. Showed message Disc Error....etc. Shut down, restarted but no change.
I put in a second disk that I had bought.......perfect as were the two free ones that came with it.
I brought the disk which did not work back to shop.....no problem, replaced it. Brought it home and same problem. Brought it back to them and they gave refund. They did say that this happens occasionally with the Wii. Sounded strange to me.Does itmean that certain games won't work on our machine?

So is it working now? If not, than the laser's probably faulty. If its brand new and you only bought it today then its definitely in warranty. Bring it back to the shop you bought it from. If it's pre-owned then the store should have a 30 day warranty or similar, so again bring it back and see what they say.
