Hi lads just trying to figure something out, Garda tried to contact me today over an incident 2 years ago, they couldn't get in contact with me so they called the last owner of the car i used to have at that point which is a friend, they couldnt get in touch with him so they called his sister, i also got a call from my insurance company twice which i was unabl to answer. There is nothing i can do about this untill tomorrow. Is there anyone that had this type of phone call or knows any reason why this occurs its really ratling my brain. Cheers for the help in advance.

More than likely a claim has been received from someone alleging negligent driving of the vehicle at the time you owned it.

Would it be normal for them to wait two years to call me up on that type of issue.

The claim may only have come in. The limitation period for bringing personal injury claims is two years. It is not unusual for claims to be filed just before the two years expires.
