I havent played chess in 20 years but was very active in tournaments and Irish Chess Leagues in the 80's. Is there anywhere I could find the results of legue games and tournaments archived for this period? I have looked on the ICU site but they dont seem to have an archive.

I very much doubt you can find anything like this online.

Try contacting Mark Orr who is the ratings officer, perhaps all the rating details from then (was there even a rating system?) are archived somehow. Or you could try the individual clubs who ran the tournaments in question.

I'll second the suggestion of http://irishchesshistory.wordpress.com and will also suggest http://www.irlchess.com. Do you have any games? Any and all games are welcome for the archive there.

I have a large archive of results, cross-tables and score sheets from 60's to 90's.
So if there is anything particular you want to know just ask.
And also to echo the thanks to Sean Coffey, Mark Orr, Fred Harte and others for
researching and publishing much old info.

I've sent you a PM about this. Just to say thanks for your appreciation of the efforts of those who are trying to preserve our chess heritage, and of course I would be delighted to receive anything we've missed (or haven't found yet) from you, or indeed anyone else.
