    Hi,

The rear derailleur hanger snapped off my '09 ironhorse warrior 1x today, I understand that the majority of the posters here are road riders but I hope somebody might be able to point me in the right direction to get a replacement?

I have looked on the internet but cannot find anything. I looked on derailleur.com but no match:(

any advice would be apreciated, bike was purchased from wiggle so going back to the dealer for help is not really an option.

I believe the hanger is bike specific? If not and a rear derailleur comes with a hanger that fits multiple bikes I would consider upgrading from the Shimano Acera derailleur on the bike.

The hangers are frame specific. Did you try Chain Reaction Cycles - I think they have a couple of pages of differnet hangers. I tried looking just now but couldn't get on to the site. I think they might be under "frame spares". Good luck.

+1 try chain reaction, they've a massive selection of hangers, wiggle.co.uk do some and BETD do a good selection of hangers for a wide variety of makes & models

I broke my rear derailleur hanger on my Cult mtb. Its and imported mtb from Slovenia. Tried to get a replacement in cyclesuperstore and the cycle inn. Even though the derailleur hangers they had seem very similar to the original they just didnt suit the frame.

I would advise calling wiggle if they cant source a replacement for you they should be able to give you the manufactures contact details. You should try and purchase a couple if you can.

Iornhorse use the same hangers as kona and Carrara for most their bikes. Its a 38 or 39. If you live near a decent halfords branch they will stock them. I'd recommend the coolock branch as I've gotten hangers for my kona there on a sunday before.

This happened to me only last weekend.
Sometimes the internet is not the best way to get things, this is one of those times, i wasted time trying to get one online then just took the broken one into the shop i bought the bike in and he had one there which i got for a tenner. Keeping it local is sometimes the way to go.

I also tried halfords, they had next to nothing and would need to order it.
The guy in there was very helpful though.
